I'm Back with Process #59!

Hello!!!
I have been a very bad blogger, and for that I apologize! It has been quite some time since we have updated or posted anything here, but don't worry, there are still many videos being posted over on Youtube and photos posted in Instagram (sporadically).

I am - finally - back here with another blog post. This layout I created using mostly the Crate Paper Cute Girl Ephemera pack. I just can't get enough of the adorable acetate elements and the colourful pieces included in this collection.

As I started this layout, I had already decided that I wanted to concentrate the elements vertically above the centre of the page. I started with the white side of an "ugly" paper and prepped it with Gesso. Then I took some of my Heidi Swapp Colour Shine in purple, pink and teal and applied them each with the packaging technique allowing the colours to dry in between.

Then I matted my photo with papers from an old Studio Calico kit and some pink tulle. Then, I got to work on selecting the embellishments.

I rarely use mixed media but I think this was a good way to get into it. I knew most of it was going to be covered so I wasn't too worried that it didn't look "right". There is no right way to do mixed media but it can be a little overwhelming and intimidating. I suggest starting with the intention that you may only want a little of it peeking through, depending on the look you are going for.

I had a lot of fun creating this layout and really like the way it turned out! Have a look at the video for the entire process and let me know what you think.

Thank you so much for joining me!

Lay it Out Thursday - Process # 46 *Hugs

Hello everyone, and welcome to 3Scrappy sisters. This post is a little late as I have been slacking on due to summer holidays! The kids are home and I find myself spending a lot of time by the pool, not wanting to do much... or we're inside cleaning up, or out and about with kids baseball, karate and the hubby's and my baseball. Anyhow, no excuses!

I have two process videos to share today. The first I used the Felicity Jane "Summer" kit and the July 1st, Stuck?! Sketches sketch. Please let me know what you think.

Here is the layout:

The process video is here:

The second layout was also created with the Felicity Jane "Summer" kit. I made a little boo-boo with the background and then needed some more embellishments to cover it up, so I opted to use some of my older Felicity Jane kits. I pulled from "Caroline" and "Willow". Let us know in the comments below what you think!

Here is the finished product:

And the process video is here:

Please Enjoy  :)

Hope to bring you another video on Thursday!
Have a GREAT week!

Scrapbook Process # 30 * Happy New Year

Hola!!

This past weekend was amazing, I spent it with my sisters and my mami. We went to Youniques retreat where we were pampered and scrapbooked all weekend!!!

This layout that I did was us in New years was 2010, My daughter would have been turning 2 and I am pregnant with my son!
We spent new years at my sisters place and we had a great time!!

If you know me already you already know that a lot of the paper pieces I used are from the scrap bin, and the bonus was that this weekend I was scrapping with both my sisters and I totally snuck in their bins and used the scaps... SHHH don't tell them!!

The stamp when I seen it I actually liked it and thought that instead of using GESSO, that I would stamp the stamp a few times as a background on the 12x12 ...To be honest I couldn't find the name of the stamp, sorry!!!

Soooo these are the items that I used for my layout:
*Project for life
*Studio Calico - Wood Venier - Camera
*Studio Calico - alphabet - Black
*Studio Calico - date stamp
*Versa Mark - Black Ink
*Doily
*Paperclips
*Scraps from my sisters bin
*Tissue paper - white
*Micheals - Paper flags
*Micheals - Enamel dots
*Xron for the camera
*Black fine sparkles

QUESTION for you guys....

Scrapbook Process # *Adventure

Heyyyyy Everyone!!!
I am so happy to finally be back and help my sister who has been carrying our channel for the last little while. So a huge SHOUT OUT my big sister xoxoxoxox!!! It is great to finally be back and while I was gone we reached 100 subscribers and that is FANTASTIC!!!! Soooo a big Thanks to you guys, keep those comments, and thumbs up coming.
I have made a 12x12 layout using, yep you guessed it scraps and a few embellishments, but to make things interesting I didn't use only my scrapbin I used my sisters as well!!
The blue camera came in one of the Studio Calico kits, along with the 'HOORAY' blue ticket. I also had the little gold heart that I glued on the camera to bring out a little bit of the gold that it already had. I made tag like pieces in different sizes and hole punched the heart into them.
The paper with the lines is actually the cardboard backing that comes in the embellishment packages, the paper clip used to have a flag thingy on it but I used it in another layout and had the paper clip left over and thought it fit nicely in the spot.
The 'Adventure' paper is what I used for my title, I thought it fit perfectly with the picture. It is a scrap that i cut to fit behind the picture.
The black circle piece is something that my sister cut out for one of her cards and did not use it, which naturally I swiped it!!! :)
I used the Heidi swap red mist to sprinkle the spots on it.
This is the final layout. I hope you like it!!!

Check out the process video on our channel!!! Thank you for visiting!!!

See you for the next process :)
